School is out now and students are all home safe and sound! No magic outside of school though unless you're 17 and older. Event wise, nothing much, except for the teachers or Hogwarts way too, much, fun on a staff trip.

On the OOC front, July is starting and we'll have a list of the upcoming events on a mod post soon enough. We're going to try something new! Constance-mun made a great suggestion about a rumor post and honestly, it's a school based game so rumors should be everywhere! The first comment will be dedicated to where you can post true or false rumors of your character that you think would get around the school and journal system. You are not allowed to post rumors for characters that are not your own unless it is a joint plot!

Recapping it like there is no tomorrow!

Since the last time, there have been all kinds of animal shenannigans, like Dragon Eggs being given out to the students to care for. People really got in to it and went all out. Exams are coming up and people are getting ready to pass or fail. Dave amd Wilbur won the egg contest, showing that even the silliest boys can raise a baby. Ravenclaw won the Quidditch match! It was the last one for the year, at least until the World Cup is up for viewing. Also, all the make-up went missing, and it wasn't to cover up a hickey! The girls went mad and tears were had. The school became less furry when all of the animals sprouted flesh and looked like humanslooked like humans.

For up coming events, A fundraiser next weekend where the students will be maintaining brooms for some Witches and Wizards. A School dance is also on the 15th!

On the OOC/Administrative front, we got new mods to take the place of the ones who stepped down. There is also a Mod Plurk to follow/fan so you can get all your SH updates.

Hey y'all! It's that time again!

Since last recap, some teachers have assigned homework, and fifth and seventh years especially are starting to feel the crunch. But in the meanwhile, Kurt is planning a party and needs everyone's help to make it ~fabulous~. There also seems to be a rash of shenaniganry in the library, on the grounds, and around the castle. Even the teachers are getting into it. Don't you want to be part of it too?

On the OOC front, we've gotten a bunch of new characters recently. Yay! Let's keep this up! A new app_this_plz is going up today, so don't forget to shop around for that ideal castmate or that dream cross-canon CR! The mods also put up a post about allowing OCs, with a poll that we'd like everyone to vote on. You have another week to get that in, so don't forget to make your voice heard! The inactivity list also went up, so if you're on it, make sure to check in with us so we know you're still around!

As an additional reminder, don't forget to tag your posts. That means posts (and logs) you comment on as well as ones you post yourself! It makes things so much easier for everyone, especially when AC time rolls around, so no more of these posts with 50 comments and a single tag, okay? Also since there's been a lot of open logs going on, don't forget that we also have an OPEN tag on the logs comm, for easy browsing! (But you have to use it.)

Recap time!

Since the last one, there was a Quidditch Match between Hufflepuff and Slytherin, with Hufflepuff coming out victorious. The new announcer certainly added some spice to the game, though a lot of people would disagree there. Hogwarts has also seen several new additions to the staff, while a Field Trip is being planned by the Head of Hufflepuff.

The Easter Holidays also started and with them many of the students went home for the holidays, which means the castle has been pretty quiet over the last few days, though the teachers have been sure to remind everyone that homework is still due after break!

On the mod front, there is nothing to report aside from Head of Gryffindor votes!

Since our last recap, there's been some discussion of Easter, a rap battle has gone down, and Gryffindor and Hufflepuff went at it on the Quidditch pitch, with a victory for Gryffindor!

Coming up, we have Easter Holiday starting the 31st, but before then, be on the look-out for some up-coming plots, including a Parents' Day on the 18th! Details will be coming soon.

Yo Hatters, it's time for a recap!

Since last recap, Hogwarts saw its first major snowstorm of the year, and it was Magical! There was also a Quidditch game between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, with Ravenclaw coming out victorious! The student body has also been furiously preparing for Valentine's day! But their happy spirits were squashed when Dumbledore revealed that an Unforgivable Curse had been used by a student.

Everyone was quick to point fingers at one another, but eventually things quieted down, though the culprit remains at large. Despite that, everyone is gearing up for the Hogsmeade trip, which is conveniently coinciding with Valentine's day.

There isn't a whole lot to report on in the Administrative front, but we do still encourage Professors and Prefects to award points. Professors are also encouraged to do Homework posts, so students have a chance to earn points!

Additionally, there are also still several Quidditch position open for Hufflepuff, Slytherin and Ravenclaw, so sign your characters up. There are also Prefect positions for all Houses that should be filled, so don't be afraid to do that!

So it's time for a recap! And quite a few things have happened. Many students went home for the Christmas holidays and everyone enjoyed a fun, yet calm break. Upon arriving back at school, Karkat Vantas ended up causing quite a stir. Hogwarts barely had a chance to get over that particular drama before Galen started a heated argument over blood purity, and a bunch of students went Ice Skating on the frozen lake. Additionally, ex-Death Eater Antonio Fernández joined the school staff, along with Matthew Williams.

In Administrative news, we closed briefly to move over to Dreamwidth and opened back up a few days later! In doing so, the setting was switched to after Lord Voldemort's defeat, and the Application was made a lot easier.

And lastly, there was also a very important Mod Post that was posted, which everyone should read and comment on!
