October Plotting post!

It's plotting time! October is coming and we have a bunch of new characters in the game so plot like the sky is the limit!

1. Make a thread for each of you characters. Do them separately and use subject lines for easy searching. Include their House and current year, that way you can catch anyone else they should know.
2. Tag the rumor thread with rumors for your characters only, unless you got the okay to include someone else.
3. Tag around to see if anyone is interested in plotting!
4. October has the start of Quidditch, a Hogsmeade trip, Halloween and the one year anniversary of the defeat of Voldemort.

Go at it guys!

This is probably a bad idea but...Shifu and Graham CR, y/n?

yyyyyyyyyyyyy Graham is probably a nightmare in dueling class; talented, but holy hell is he volatile, more a berserker than something principled. That said, depending on what you have in mind, Graham and Shifu don't have to have negative CR! In his canon, Graham appreciates anyone who can give him a good fight and deeply respects his superiors if they can give him a solid beat-down.

tl;dr yes CR good. Do you have any particular ideas?

Ha ha, awesome!!

Shifu would see great potential for Graham, but you're right about the nightmare bit. How would Graham take to being soundly trashed in Duelling class in front of his peers? It could be the start of the respect between them. However, Shifu is still rather cold and harsh at this point in time, so he will expect Graham to shape up in his class. I don't really know Graham's canon unfortunately, so I don't know how this will go?

To give you a tiny bit of insight on Graham's canon (at least as much of it is currently available in English), there are 2 times Graham is beaten in a fight: the first ends with him absolutely adoring and respecting the man who beat him to the point of nigh-idolatry, and the second ends in something of a stalemate with Graham showing that he does actually know when to back down. The second fight, incidentally, happens to have been in front of Graham's gang. So, although Graham does have a fair bit of pride in him, he's not the type to get filled with sour grapes if Shifu trashes him in front of everybody in class. Graham's confidence is too strong to be completely undermined by something like that; he'd be more intrigued than insulted.

I'm not sure how Graham would react to Shifu being cold, but given his mood disorder, it'd probably be the subject of many a completely manic pseudo-philosophical/barely-understandable tirade.

So it'll be a case of the immovable object and the unstoppable force. Awesomesauce, this will be incredible CR, I can feel it in my bones. It's like Shifu training Po, but a much more maniacal and unhinged Po, XD.

Shifu won't pretend to understand, but he might make it compulsory for Graham to have Tai Chi classes with him to try and calm him down. Shifu hates wasted talent, and he would invest a lot into Graham.

Maniacal and unhinged is generally a pretty accurate way of describing Graham, so yep. Right on the money there.

als;kfjalskdjf Graham being forced to do Tai Chi. That image... I... it's too beautiful. Should have sent a poet.
