Hi there, Fiona-mod here with a poll for you!
Murdoc Donoghue for Head of Slytherin House
Murdoc is a man with a wealth of experience. He came into teaching fresh from his profession as an auror and, as such, has a vast array of knowledge and advice for budding aurors and ministry workers. He has four children of his own and while he isn't always the best father, he takes an eager interest in their lives and manages to keep them fairly well in line, all things considered.
He takes his job very seriously, despite occasional slip ups caused by events or happenings he can't control. He's willing to help others, even going so far as to organise a school wide swimming lesson to prepare students for the summer and he was generous enough to offer lessons to professors as well.
Murdoc can be irritable and moody at times, but as a head of house he would be a firm but fair leader. He's a good role model and a reasonably successful man, he would take an interest in guiding students toward their goals and making sure they take their education seriously.
He isn't afraid of being strict when it's called for, but over his time here he's become capable of advising and intervening when it was needed. He's warmed up enough to find the students in his classes endearing more than he finds them annoying. He perseveres to challenge them and push their limits, particularly the brighter students of the class. Those who struggle will always receive help so that they may continue on in a manner that will help them and not hinder the rest of the class. He's been known to offer extra classes in his own time, both to those who need it and those who simply want to get ahead. He enjoys his job a great deal as he enjoys sharing and teaching information and training up practical skills for future use. He enjoys setting goals and reaching them and he encourages this attitude among his students.
On top of that, he's quite well known among many of the students and staff which brings about a good sense of familiarity.
In short, he would be good for the position because he has real world experience and advice to share, is both fair and firm as a role model and is familiar to students and staff so that he can be identified when his assistance is required.
Results Announced: Murdoc Donoghue now Slytherin Head of House!
