Information on applying for new characters
Hey guys, as some of you may know, we plurked last night that we're currently not taking holds on new characters introduced in Homestuck. This is because for the last month, we've been trying to figure out ground rules for what is too new to app in to the game. We did try with a case by case basis, but it's honestly not fair that way. Why let someone in right away when they're from a movie but not let someone in right away from an on going series?
So our new rule is that if you're applying from someone from a new movie, series, book or a newly introduced character, you MUST wait two weeks to put them on hold or apply. This is to prevent spoilers and to allow any information to be released and give you time to think about how to app them in the game. After the two weeks, go put them on hold and app them, just check to see if you need a canon OC app or not.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can ask us here or bring them to us via the issues post.

Additionally, what about different release dates? Because thanks to the internet, it's easy to something, like, twenty days before it's US release if it's being released in New Zealand earlier.
Honestly, none of this pertains to me, I just used an example I knew. I figured they were good questions!

Normally, we would just go off of release dates for whatever country the apper resides in, but seeing as the moderators need to have access to the canon try and judge it, we're going off of North American release dates. This is mainly speaking for films and books though, television is far easier to access.
