Hey all! I'm Steph and I'll be bringing Austria from Hetalia to the HP Universe where he will be a 6th year Slytherin and go by Roderich Edelstein. He's a half blood and kind of a softie for a Slytherin... But rest assured, he is a total mooch and while he may not have much of a mean streak, he can probably manipulate the shit out of you by playing victim and putting on the best puppy face in the history of ever. But it's okay. Usually he just wants cake. And to lie down. His legs hurt. Will you carry his books for him? Yes? Oh it's so good to have friends. You'll be on my side now right? ^_^

Ming here, and I am so happy to finally have CR with Roderich in-game!! You know my plans on who I'm going to app next, but as for my current set of characters you have Greg Lestrade from BBC Sherlock here as well as Phil Coulson from Avengers, Ib from Ib Horror Museum, and Shifu from Kungfu Panda. I think out of all of them, Ib would get along well with Roderich? She's quiet, polite and a talented artist to boot.

Hello! I am Gnome, I play Maxim here from Girl Genius. He is a wild and untamed thing who has an affinity for bugging the crap out of smart guys. He's a fifth year Gryffindor, also, so while they might not have many chances to interact, he might find ways to bug Roderich none the less.

On a more relevant note, I also play Eriq Slepner, one of my OCs, and he is also a Sixth year Slytherin! He is an entitled, rich muggleborn with an affinity for vampires (the Ann Rice and Stephanie Meyer kind), and spiders. He likes spiders so much, he has a pet Goliath Birdeater named Trollki, who he's had since first year. So yeah.

Hello! Well, AWKWARDLY ENOUGH if all goes as planned and my friend gets in, his best friend(? Love interest? Childhood acquaintance that he can't really get away from anyway?) will be a 6th year Gryffindor. So they may have some contact when it comes to that.

Oooh, that'll be interesting. Still deciding on a pet for this guy, and I can't imagine he likes spiders very much though they're probably better than sea creatures (he canonly has a phobia of marine life which should make the giant squid delightfully horrifying). But they'll probably get along nicely (or clash awfully!) from being rich and entitled. XD

Oh, nice! Maxim loves everybody so that's definitely a possibility!

He mostly keeps Trollki in his giantass tank, don't worry, Roderich won't wake up to a hugeass spider crawling on his face.

He might wake up to Eriq staring at him in his sleep, though. Or at least, staring at Arthur. He's kind of a creeper and likes studying people, oops.

Ahh, is he interested at all in psychology? Or just creeping on people xD Roderich is interested in what makes people tick, so that could be a conversation topic. Or they could just gossip... lol

It's a bit of both! He's not really good at people on an emotional level, so he enjoys psychology because it makes sense to him on a academic level. He also likes it because it tells him how to get people to do what he wants, and he enjoys being a leader type person. So yes, that can definitely be a bonding point!

Also gossip, because who doesn't love gossip, right?

As I'm sure you're already aware Arthur is a bit of a grouch and doesn't suffer fools gladly. Unless he likes them, then he might suffer them a little bit longer. He has quite a temper and is easily embarrassed, as well as being something of a scatterbrain.

Since they're in the same year they're bound to have crossed paths and I would be very much open to any established CR you might have in mind =D

EXCELLENT. I hadn't anything in mind, but his background is that he's from Vienna, but his parents (well, mother) didn't want to send him to Durmstrang because it would be too close to the comfort of home and they want him to try and be more independent... And also being further away would immerse him more fully in the wizard world more fully since his father is a muggle. So chances are he was very shy and scared first arriving there, and probably needed improvement on his English. So it all depends if Arthur would be at all receptive to helping him out. Like I said in the post he's kind of a softie for a Slytherin and people probably raised an eyebrow wondering why he's in the house because he's so... Idk. I mean think baby!Austria in the canon, lol. But he's all about making connections to get ahead. Was his policy for almost 700 years and I don't see it being any different here. XD So it all depends if that's the type Arthur would have befriended at all. c:

Hmmm he may have been! Arthur, thanks to being terrorised by two of his elder brothers until this year, was a pretty angry kid in his first couple of years of school. He didn't endear himself well to anyone (except, somehow, Eriq Slepner) and if Roderich couldn't handle him being sarcastic and scathing I doubt they would have got along terribly well.

If he could take it, then he might have got past it and seen that Arts was just scared a lot of the time. Had they managed to become friends he would have helped Roderich with his English - he jokes to himself these days, now that his temper has evened out, that he's a rather poor Slytherin with how much he thinks of other people but make no mistake he will cut the ground out from under you if he thinks you're about to get him into trouble.

What do you reckon?

Oh he definitely could. He can be pretty sarcastic himself but more deadpan? Sometimes to the point where you're not sure if he's making a joke or not. And yeah, Roderich probably gets a hard time as a Slytherin for not being all that driven, but it's only because he's so good at getting other people to do his work for him... But yes I think they'd get along quite well. Roderich is probably just quieter and possibly more polite but he'd definitely quietly smile at all the sarcasm. (And I think bluntness has been part of his culture growing up so that wouldn't bother him either!)

Ooh Arthur would certainly appreciate having someone to snark off with, especially as his temper levelled out. He's usually a pretty nice kid, unless something ticks him off. :>
