Lizards and Quidditch and Snow, oh my!
So like, the mod team heard that we haven’t had an event in, like, forever. And we thought, ‘hey that is totally just unacceptable!’ and so we decided to bring it on! And that is why on sunday after a magical crop dusting, Hogwarts is going to come under a very sudden snowstorm! Just in time to screw up the Quidditch game! By Monday morning, the ground will be covered with a half-foot of snow. After that, a slight drift will continue to fall for a few days.
But due to the nature of the snowstorm, you can bet that it is not normal snow, either! Some might notice the snow shifting of its own accord, and snowballs thrown might veer off course, or crumble before they reach their target. The snowfall itself might exhibit odd behavior as well, and appear to have a slight level of sentience, as it follows students around, landing all over them or dancing around them and generally acting not quite like your average snow.
But most notably would be the Snowmen! They will come to life like they stepped right out of Frosty the Snowman. Of course if you want them to be capable of doing much, they will need the proper limbs and features. Otherwise you will have blind Snowmen, and that is pretty cruel.
Also for something more relevant to the couch potatoes who don’t like going outside, there has been an incident involving a pet gecko and a duplication potion! Which means there are geckos EVERYWHERE! Probably in your pants! Definitely in your shoes. What’s that in your hair?
We would also like to remind you that the Quidditch game is on Sunday, the 29th! So be sure and get your inputs in! They are due on Wednesday, the 25th. And guys, there are several positions open for the teams, so go join them, if it suits your character! Additionally, if you would like to change your inputs to factor in the sudden snowstorm, then you can do so!
