The Thrill of the Hunt
Hey Hatters, in preparation for the event (Initial post with more details here) starting on the 24th we bring you a PLOTTING POST!!
ALL EFFECTS WILL LAST FOR 1-2 HOURS AT A TIME. So feel free to mix it up a bit over the days. You may also combine one egg with the other for a double effect. Go nuts, have fun!
Your characters will come across the eggs at random, so you’re free to pick and choose. If you’re having a hard time, feel free to randomise your result with the RNG!
Egg Effects:
Gold: The characters with the most GOLD eggs are the winners. HOWEVER they’re particularly well hidden. You’ll have to be tricky to get them as they cannot simply be summoned toward you with an accio charm.
Red: Shrink! Your character is now just a few inches tall! The perfect size for reaching eggs in small places.
Orange: Species Change! Your character will now turn into an animal of your choice. Perfect for hearing suspicious noises, sniffing out hidden eggs, scrambling into the trickier places or, if you’re lucky, the power of flight will be on your side!
Yellow: Age drop! Nobody hunts eggs better than a kid! Your character is now four- or at least- their body is! Mentally, they’ll still be much the same as they ever were.
Green: Growth! Man, why is that gold egg so far up, if only you were a few inches- WELP. Now you’re twice your regular size. Perfect height for plucking eggs right off the rafters.
Blue: Mind reading! The team ahead of you sure seems to know where all the eggs are- how are they figuring it out so well? It’s time to get into their heads and figure out their funny business.
Purple: Sticky fingers! Watch out spiderman, with hands like those you could climb walls. Unfortunately, you can’t control what sticks to those hands and what doesn’t, so watch what you touch or it’ll be like craft day at preschool.
Pink: Phase Shifting! Being a ghost? Not so great overall. But you know what is great? Walking through walls. Take a short cut and ollie through the walls of the building. Doors are for losers and locks are for suckers!
Black: Invisibility! Congratulations, now is the time to be stealthy so you can snatch the eggs right out from under your enemies!
White: Colour change! A dud egg of absolutely no help to you. Your hair or skin will turn one or ALL the colours of the rainbow for an indeterminate amount of time.
Rainbow: Randomized effect! It has one random effect out of all the other eggs.
For this event, we highly encourage the use of the castle’s secret passageways and other hidden areas. Perhaps if you get a pink egg, your character could end up discovering new areas of the castle they never knew were there! For the first time in a long time, we’ll be giving people permission for their character to find the Room of Requirement, too. This has been something that’s been abused in the past, but we’re willing to incorporate it again now. So this is a good chance to uncover a few of the castle’s secrets!
Also, we ask that you list your pair ups in the comments so that we know who’s with who for when we roll for the winners!! Please and thank you.
